Solar Filter Applications by MoO2 Nanocomposite Films of Near Infrared Shielding Characteristics |

Developed techniques to control the size promote the potential application of molybdenum oxide in recent years. Molybdenum oxide materials are particularly attractive among the transition metal oxides due to their unusual chemistry produced by the multiple valence states. Nanostructured molybdenum oxide with high activity can be used in a wide variety of applications such as thermoelectric materials, and electrochromic devices. Especially, Molybdenum di-oxide showed near infrared cut–off Characteristics. The molybdenum di–oxide (MoO2) nanocomposite films was deposited by the sol–gel bar–coating method onto PET film (polyethylene terephthalate film) substrate. The structure and sizes of ceramic particles was observed XRD and PSA spectrometer, the optical properties of their films were investigated by UV–VIS, NIR spectrometer. MoO2 nanoparticles showed excellent shielding capability of NIR Wavelength. MoO2 nanoparticles have a suitable characteristic as solar filter applications. |
