The most widely studied thermochromic material is VO2, which is characterized by a semiconductor-to-metal transition occurring from a reversible change in the crystalline structure as a function of the temperature. Tungsten-doped vanadium dioxide particles were prepared by the sol-gel method. Samples were analyzed using XRD, SEM, UV-vis-NIR. All the W-dopend VO2 particles are found to be monoclinic crystals. UV-vis-NIR spectra showed that the W-doped VO2 particles embedded NMP coating have very good thermochromic property. |
