Synthesis of nanoparticles in microemulsions is an area of considerable current interest. many reaserchers pay attention to make smaller nanoparticles by modified microemulsion method. In this articlePoly(methyl methacrylate) nanosize particles were synthesized by a microemulsion polymerization with a modified monomer adding system. Sodium dodecylsulfate , potassium persulfate, hydroquinone were used as the surfactant ,initiator, inhibitor, respectively. The size distribution and particle morphology were analysed by Dynamic light scattering and FE-SEM, Compared with the traditional microemulsion method, PMMA nanoparticle with smaller size using less surfactant was made successfully, moreover, uniform size nanoparticles also can be observed by FE-SEM. |
