제목 Block copolymer and Homopolymer mixture in thin film : A new way to control the nano pore size and lateral distribution
초록 Recently, templates with nano pores using block copolymers with cylindrical morphology have been studied. The pore size and inter-domain distance are determined by molecular weight and volume fraction of the block copolymers, giving a limitation to scale down the pore size since block copolymers get disordered in low molecular weight. In this study, we used mixtures of block copolymer (PS-b-PMMA) and homopolymers mixtures to make thin film with cylindrical nanodomains oriented vertically to the substrate. Hydroxyl-terminated PS-ran-PMMA was used for the cylindrical nanadomains to be oriented vertically to the substrate. After removing the homopolymers with preferential solvent to PMMA block, the pore size was well controlled from 0 ~ 30 nm by changing the amount of homopolymer. The hole size and inter-domain spacing was also dependent on the molecular weight of homopolymers and interaction parameter between PMMA block and homopolymers. The nano-hole size and inter-domain spacing were measured by TEM with Fourier Transformations. This method is useful to make nano-wires with various radii.
