제목 Investigation of conducting polythiophene composites with multi-wall carbon nanotube as filler by the gamma radiolysis polymerization method
초록 Conducting polythiophene(PTh) with the host filler multi-wall carbon nanotube(MWNT) has been synthesized by the in-situ gamma radiation-induced polymerization method. The resultant cable-like morphology of the nanocomposite (PTh-MWNT) structures were characterized and found that the MWNT function as a template for PTh polymerization. The standard four-point probe method was utilized for measuring the conductivity of the samples. The conductivity through the PTh-MWNT was as large as 3.71 S/cm upon the maximum loading of MWNT (≤ 0.5 wt. %) in our work. This is much larger than the usual value of the bulk PTh powders (~1.23×10-4 S/cm) synthesized by the same method. The PTh-MWNT composites showed improved thermogravimetric stability compared to the PTh homopolymer in the temperature range 0-800℃.
