Dual-function photocatalysis for the simultaneous H2 production and the degradation of organic pollutants can be an promising way to treat wastewater. TiO2 modified with Pt and anions(F, PO43-) has been reported to be applicable to the above purpose. In this research, we prepared TiO2 modified with ternary components to enhance the photocatalytic activity by hybridizing TiO2 with GO and further modifying GO/TiO2 with Pt and anions. GO on TiO2 negatively affected the photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants with or without anions. However, GO/TiO2 modified with Pt and F showed much highly enhanced H2 production coupled with the significantly recovered degradation activity compared with F-TiO2/Pt. The enhanced photocatalytic activity of the ternary modified system was analyzed with various methods such as slurry photo-current measurement and PEC analysis, and characterized with XPS, TEM and zeta-potential. |
