제목 Preparation and Characterization of Inorganic-Organic Hybrid CdS-AAA Composites Using Hydrogels Based on Poly (2-Acetamido Acrylic Acid)
초록 By incorporating nanoparticles (NPs) into a clear polymer matrix, the so-called “quantum dots” are obtained in a readily processable form. The organization of semiconductor NPs in an orderly fashion in a matrix may provide potential applications of their special properties, whereas polymers are expected to provide good mechanical and optical properties, conferring high kinetic stability on nanometer-sized semiconductor particles. In-situ synthesis of NPs in the interior of the bulk hydrogel (that is, template-based synthesis) is an alternative approach to this procedure. Polymer hydrogels have the advantages of simple synthesis, and easy functionalization.
Our experiments controlled not blend or physical bond but chemically uniform dispersion in polymer matrix with pH-stimulus response without the aggregation of NPs. With this consideration, our aim in the present research was to produce nanocomposite from CdS via hydrogels based on AAA (2- acetamido acrylic acid) and to investigate their network structure and optical property. AAA and bifunctional cross-linker with the structure analogous to AAA, 2, 2’-[(1, 4 – dioxo - 1, 4-butanediyl) diimino] bis (2 -propenoic acid), were used to prepare polymeric networks. The CdS nanocrystals were successfully synthesized in the polymer networks by ion exchange in aqueous systems. It was found that the semiconductors NPs, CdS, were homogeneously well dispersed in the hydrogel. CdS-poly(AAA) network composites were characterized by various techniques of XRD, TEM, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and PL spectroscopy.
