Here we present cyclodextrin-templated supramolecular assemblies, and investigate the nature of their association. When appropriate guests are introduced, they exhibit anisotropic nature and form supramolecular hydrogel. Further, these supramolecules undergo selective responses in the presence of external additives, leading to precipitation and sol-to-gel transition. Optical, electrical properties and crystallization behaviors were investigated by various characterization techniques, including UV-visible spectroscopy, PL emission, X-ray analysis (WAXD and SAXS), and several microscopic techniques. Such properties will find useful applications in the field of analytical sensors as well as biomedical areas. |
