제목 Multiblock Copolymers with Sulfonated Poly(arylene sulfone) Blocks for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Applications
초록 Novel aromatic multiblock copolymers with different block lengths were prepared by coupling reactions between sulfonated poly(arylene sulfone) oligomers and non-sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) oligomers containing either diphenyl ether or biphenyl segments. Solvent cast block copolymer membranes display a markedly lower water uptake and higher dimensional stability in spite of high ion exchange capacity(IEC) values, presumably because of much higher chain stiffness of hydrophilic blocks. The block copolymer membrane with an IEC of 1.95meq/g reached a proton conductivity above 20mS/cm under 50% relative humidity at 80℃.
