Polymer film adhesives can be useful due to such advantages as flexibility, fast drying and high solid contents.However existing water-based acrylic adhesive used in the surfactant formulation have relatively small molecular weights. Also the small molecular weight substances, especially in food packaging and printing can migrate causing environmental problems. Therefore the application is limited, in particular for the long-term usage. In this study, solution-polymerized poly (BA-co-MAA-co-TMPTA) was used as the adhesive. And the changes in the physical properties were investigated. PNDs in acidic conditions of the film showed good adhesion and elasticity, a lower carboxylic acid and hydrogen bonding. But water containing hydrogen bonding film formation time was limited. Under the basic conditions of the PNDs film the optimum conditions for ionic dipolar interactions provided good drying and stiffer deformation. As a result the adhesion strength was low and removable. |
