제목 Improvement of mechanical properties of epoxy composites reinforced with fluorinated illite and MWCNTs
초록 Illite and Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are fluorinated to improve the surface property of them. The effects of fluorination on surface of illite and MWCNTs are investigated by x-ray photo electron spectroscopy (XPS). The properties of epoxy composites reinforced fluorinate illite and MWCNTs are also evaluated by tensile test and impact test. The mechanical properties of the composites including fluorinated illite and MWCNTs were observed in tensile strength of 32 MPa and in impact strength of 16 MPa, which indicated maximum increase with about 59 % and 15 % respectively than neat epoxy. Therefore, the fluorination treatment in illite and MWCNTs have considered to improve bonding of illite and MWCNTs in epoxy resin.
