제목 Aggregation and precipitation of asphaltene globules by increasing hydrophilic properties  of their surfaces
초록 As the importance of heavy oil increases, the key of utilizing heavy oil is seperation of asphaltene and upgrading of maltene. Solvent Deasphalting (SDA) is a refinery process for extracting asphaltenes from crude oil/residue to obtain de-asphaltened oil. By adding specific surfactant (ex. alkyl-phenol ethoxylates) to water-diluted crude oil emulsion, asphaltene was partitioned and precipitated into water phase. In our research, asphaltene  was partially oxidized to increase hydrophillicity, and the modified asphaltene was used as a surfactant to partition asphaltene. In addition, possibility for SDA pretreatment process and characteristics of oxidized asphaltene was examined.
