제목 The Acetylation of Bacterial Cellulose and their Nanocomposite Films
초록 The purpose of this study was to improve the interfacial adhesion between a biodegradable polymer and bio-based material by a chemical modification of bacterial cellulose (BC). Hydroxyl groups of BC were substituted by acetylation and solvent exchange in order to achieve a good dispersion in organic solvents. The acetylated BC was combined with polybutylene succinate (PBS) in organic solvents followed by film casting. FTIR-ATR spectroscopy indicated that the hydroxyl groups of BC were substituted by acetyl groups. The morphology was analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). By contact angle measurement, there was indicated that the innate hydrophilic character of BC was changed into hydrophobic. The tensile strength test of the nanocomposites was carried out by universal testing machine (UTM)
