제목 Realization of high performance lithium-ion batteries in tin-based anode materials with porous copper current collector
초록 A three-dimensional scaffold is regarded as an attractive electrode architecture, as it has intrinsic structural integrity and ability to relieve stress in lithium-ion batteries caused by the severe volume changes in high capacity anode materials during cycling. A 3D interconnected Cu layer-by-layer assembly with porous Cu wall was fabricated by a simple and directional freeze-casting, applied as current collector. The SnO2 coated and Sn plated Cu layer-by-layer assemblies through a sol-gel and an electroless plating method, respectively were used as a self-supporting anode for lithium-ion batteries. The binder- and carbon-free electrodes exhibit a high reversible capacity, excellent rate capability, and stable cycle retention by preserving its structural integrity.
