제목 Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization of Methyl Methacrylate by Novel Ruthenium Catalyst
초록 The Ru(COD)(L)Cl2 (L=2-(4,5-dihydro-5,5-dimethyloxazol-2-yl)pyridine) as novel ruthenium catalyst have been prepared from the reaction of 2-(4,5-dihydro-5,5-dimethyloxazol-2-yl)pyridine with the [Ru(COD)Cl2]2. The effects of solvents, temperature, additives and catalyst/monomer ratio on ATRP of MMA have been studied systematically for the novel ruthenium catalytic system. The optimum condition for the ATRP of MMA was found to be [Catalyst]o/[Al(OiPr)3]o/[EBiB]o/[MMA]o = 1 : 4 : 2 : 200 at 80℃ in toluene solution, which yielded well-defined PMMA with a narrow molecular weight distribution of 1.23.
