제목 | Modeling and Simulation of 2-D fixed bed reactor including coke formation for dry reforming of methane |
초록 | Dry reforming of methane is a carbon dioxide conversion reaction which is expected to reduce carbon dioxide by generating syngas through carbon dioxide and methane. The most commercial catalyst for dry reforming of methane is a nickel-based catalyst. However, cokes which reduce catalyst activity are unavoidably generated for nickel-based catalyst. Therefore, understanding of coke generation and behavior in the reactor is essential for commercializing of the dry reforming of methane. For commercialization of dry reforming of methane, not only coke generation but also increasing syngas yield, and identifying the H2/CO ratios are important. Therefore, in this research, the 2-D fixed bed reactor model is developed including the coke formation. Through the model, internal behavior, conversion rate, and catalyst activity effect are investigated. Case studies are carried out to evaluated the effects of major design factor on conversions and coke formations. |
