제목 | SCR catalysts with dual function to simultaneously remove NOx and hydrocarbons contained in exhaust gas |
초록 | SCR technology to remove NOx emitted from stationary & mobile sources has been developed in parallel with increasingly stringent environmental regulations. The use of ammonia as a reducing agent is the most widely used, but the high cost of equipment because of the need for a separate ammonia supply device is one of the disadvantages, and the unreacted ammonia slip also becomes another environmental problem. In this study, we intend to develop an SCR catalyst with a dual function that can simultaneously remove NOx by using hydrocarbons contained in exhaust as a reducing agent. The Pt catalyst supported on alumina showed a NOx removal more than 50% in the 220-260 oC temperature range, and the maximum NOx conversion was 75%. Toluene used as a reducing agent was also oxidized more than 90% at 220 oC, and exhibited excellent activity such as 100% removal at 240 oC or higher. In addition, the bimetallic catalyst with added transition metals or rare earth metals shifted the NOx removal temperature to a lower region, and at the same time made a wider active temperature window. |
