Improvement in scratch resistance of PMMA by silica sol modified with organoalkoxysilane |
초록 |
The scratch-resistant coating film was prepared with the surface-modified silica sol by the sol-gel condensation. Silica sol was modified with organoalkoxysilane of various compositions to form the hard-coating film of hybrid. Modified silica sol contained a considerable amount of reactive double bonds on the surface. The hard-coating film, which was obtained by curing with UV irradiation, was highly uniform and transparent. Fourier transform infrared spectrometer was used to analyze the variations in chemical bonds of condensation products of sol-gel reaction. Surface hardness of hard-coating materials was evaluated by pencil hardness. The scratch resistance of PMMA was varied depending on the organoalkoxysilane composition. |
