제목 Foaming behavior of Poly(lactic acid) foam using FDM 3D printing and with epoxy functionalized chains through reactive extrusion
초록 PLA foam is most widely used in such biomedical applications as scaffold and tissue engineering. However PLA polymers are limited as a brittleness and poorly melt properties. We were carried out reactive extrusion using commercial chain extender to obtain improved melt properties for PLA. The foamable filaments were blended by melt-extrusion method using newly prepared PLA polymer and chemical foaming agent not only modifying melt properties of base resin but also applying 3D printing  
The produced filaments as raw materials with base resins mixed CFA were foamed for 3D printing by print modeling and nozzle temperature control. Introduced micro-, macro- pore were made by generated N2 gas from CFA and 3D modeling, respectively. Pore size and structures were differed from fill density and rheological property of base resins.  
Also, the influences of rheological properties and pore morphology were analyzed using rotational rheometer, DSC, SEM and Hg-porosimeter.
