In the present study, we report to fabricate the self-assembled PANI nanostructures (e. g. nanotubes and nanofibers) in the presence of structure assisting material (SAM) used as dopant with two functional groups of acid and acid salt under aqueous medium. The anilne/SAM salt formed by way of an acid/base reaction, acted as a surfactant to create a micelle. The morphology of the resulting PANI-SAM changed from nanotubes to nanofibers, depending on the [SAM]/[An] ratio. The room temperature electrical conductivity of PANI-SAM nanofibers and nanotubes are 0.5 S/cm and 3.6 S/cm, respectively. The morphology of the synthesized PANI was verified by SEM and TEM. The crystal structures of the sample were checked by wide angle X-ray diffraction. |
