Phthalocyanines (Pcs) are well-known for high thermal/chemical stability and inherent absorption properties in long wavelength ranges. Unfortunately, the poor solubility and fluorescent nature of Pcs have limited their application to selective fields. Hence, novel Pcs endowed with greater solubility and fluorescence quantum yield would find useful for many applications. In the present work, we have designed and synthesized several new Pc derivatives featured with improved solubility and fluorescence properties by introducing appropriate peripheral substituents to the Pc core. The influence of solvent, heat and electrical potential were studied. Furthermore, various spectral experiments have conducted in order to understand their photophysical behaviors. The detailed experimental results will be presented in the poster. |
