Here we studied CO2 capture/release behavior of the mixtures of amidine, alcohol, and solvent. Some of the absorbent mixtures exhibited phase-changing behavior on absorption/desorption of CO2; the absorbent mixture phase-separate into the carbonated and un-carbonated phases as CO2 gas is supplied. The phase-changing absorption behavior of the absorbent mixtures were tested with varying the condition such as the ratio of amidine to alcohol, the concentration of mixture, the type of amidine, alcohol and the solvent, the absorption/desorption temperature, and feed flow rate etc. |
