Donor-acceptor type conjugated polymers have been extensively studied to investigate their potential for use in practical electronic and optoelectronic devices. Polymer solar cells, one of these applications of conjugated polymers have been attracted because of their flexibility and low manufacturing cost. Introduction of three different monomeric units into the polymer backbone gives advantage to polymer design, which leads to make highly efficient organic solar cell. In this study, A-D-A-D’ regular terpolymer was designed and synthesized. The newly synthesized polymer was investigated to record its photophysical and electrochemical properties. The regular terpolymer was applied to electronic and optoelectronic devices and compared with the corresponding A-D and A-D’ copolymers. |
