Preparation and properties of hybrid polymer coatings based on poly(vinyl alcohol)/clay nanocomposite films |
초록 |
Polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) has been used as a barrier coating material due to their high oxygen barrier property. However, the PVA coated film has a poor water vapor barrier level, for reasons of the high solubility of PVA in water. To decrease the water vapor transmission rate (WVTR), the barrier layer was prepared to reduce the water affinity by interaction between PVA and oligosiloxane. The organic–inorganic hybrid nanocomposite materials have been regarded as a new generation of high performance materials since they combine the advantages of inorganic materials (rigidity, high stability) and those of organic polymers (flexibility, dielectric property, ductility, and processability). In this work, we have tried to improve of barrier property by using oligosiloxane of different structure (linear and branch). The polymer coating layer was prepared to reduce the gas affinity by interactions between PVA matrix and oligosiloxane. |
