제목 Microporous membrane by cyclodextrin for desalination
초록 We fabricated microporous membrane by using α-cyclodextrin-based polymer. α-cyclodextrin has a cavity and its diameter is 4.7~5.3nm. We synthesized star-shaped Polystyrene(PS) and Poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) by atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) on brominated arms of cyclodextrin. We characterized that number of polymer-linked arms per one cyclodextrin is higher than 16 by Nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) and Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization(MALDI). We fabricated spin-coated thin film on supporting membrane. Micropores by cylodextrin cavity can be used for desalination of hydrated sodium ions in sea water.
