제목 | Tagging of microplastics with Nile red and surfactant in water |
초록 | Microplastics (MPs) with a size of less than 5 mm have emerged as environmental problems. Fluorescent tagging has thus been emerged as an essential technology to detect them. Of particular interest of this study was the application of non-polar fluorescent dye/surfactant combination for in-situ staining of MPs in water. Nile red was employed as a representative non-polar fluorescent dye. Several factors such as tagging time, temperature, dye/surfactant ratio, and dye/MP ratio were controlled to investigate their tagging behaviors.
