Swelling-Induced Pore Generation in Fluorinated Polynorbornene Block Copolymer Films |
초록 |
Swelling-induced pore generation is a facile, non-destructive method to prepare mesoporous polymer films. The fundamental principle behind the method is based on the selective swelling and shrinkage of a block within the microphase-separated block copolymer (BCP) films. To date, materials used in this emerging pore generation method are exclusively limited to polystyrene-based amphiphilic BCPs. Herein, we report the swelling-induced pore generation of highly fluorinated, polynorbornene-based BCP films. It is revealed that the fluorinated BCPs form nanoparticle during their polymerization due to low solubility of the fluorinated block. Their spun-cast films show the microphase-separated structures, which undergo the swelling-induced pore generation when treated with fluorous solvent. By varying the degree of polymerization of the fluorinated block, not only the size and density of pores within the films, but also the refractive indices of the thin films can be tuned in a wide range. |
