제목 Stimuli-responsive Polymer Brushes on Graphene Oxide for Controlled Plasmonic Coupling of Gold Nanorods
초록 Stimuli-responsive polymer brushes on a variety of substrates and graphene oxide-based nanomaterials have been widely investigated for developing advanced biosensors. In this study, stimuli-responsive polymer brushes on two dimensional nanoscale graphene oxides (NGOs) were prepared to control plasmonic coupling of gold nanorods (GNRs). Negatively charged poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-acrylic acid), poly(NIPAAM-co-AAc) brushes with stimuli-responsiveness were grown on the NGOs via surface initiated atom-transfer radical polymerization, followed by complexation of positively charged GNRs with the poly(NIPAAM-co-AAc) brushes on the NGOs. The poly(NIPAAM-co-AAc) brushes on the NGOs were collapsed above low critical solution temperature, resulting in increased plasmonic coupling of GNRs. Conclusively, the GNRs-incorporated poly(NIPAAM-co-AAc) brushes on the NGOs would serve as nanoprobes for photonics-based biosensing.
