제목 Lanthanum-Graphene Oxide (La-GO) Composite for Adsorptive Removal of Arsenic
초록 Arsenic is a well-known toxic and carcinogenic element, generally exist as As(III) and As(V) in natural water. Here, synthesized Lanthanum-Graphene Oxide (La-GO) composite material for selective adsorptive removal of arsenic from water. As synthesized La-GO composite was well characterized using XPS, FT-IR and FT-Raman. The surface properties of La-GO were studied using SEM-EDX and BET analysis. The adsorption characteristics of La-GO composite was performed with arsenic adsorption. This study also included the factors, pH, initial metal ion concentration, La-GO composite dosage and aqueous ionic strength, which are influenced adsorption of arsenic on La-GO composite. The obtained results concluded that the adsorption of arsenic was enhances with La-GO compared with bare GO and La(III). The overall results concluded that the as synthesized La-GO composite can be used for adsorptive removal of arsenic from wastewaters.
