제목 Alcohol sensor photonic gel for breath analysis
초록 Photonic crystal is a form of crystal that reflects wavelength similar to the grid spacing of particles, and is noted for its advantageous features such as convenience without the need for a detector. In this study, photonic gel sensor which respond to aldehydes is fabricated using inverse opal structure. Unlike many sensors operating in aqueous environment, ionic liquid was used to show high sensitivity, thermal stability to alcohol and aldehyde without water interference. The responses of the sensors were rigorously investigated at various concentrations and temperatures of aldehyde vapor. In addition, response to non-alcoholic substances included in a breath was also examined.
