제목 Synthesis of hyper crosslinked porous polymers by Friedel-Crafts reaction of linear aromatic compounds
초록 Microporous polymers with large surface areas and micropores have excellent gas adsorption and storage ability. Crosslinking of viny polymers is one of the easy ways to synthesize porous polymers. But the crosslinked vinyl polymers usually show low surface areas because the pores collapse during the solvent removal. In this study, we used linear aromatic compounds such as p-quaterphenyl as a monomer to increase polymer’s rigidity and thereby prevent the pore collapse. The linear aromatic compounds were connected by Friedel-Crafts reaction with a rigid linker and their pore structures were investigated. The polymers exhibit a high surface area of approximately 1100 m2/g.
