Introduction of hydrogen isotopes recovery technologies from Tokamak exhaust gas |
초록 |
The exhaust gas of D-T fusion reaction has various gaseous compounds, such as hydrogen isotopes Q2 (Q means H, D or T), tritiated molecules and other gases. All of the hydrogen isotopes must be recovered and reused for the reaction. In order to recover hydrogen isotopes from the fusion exhaust gas, Pd membrane permeation technology is used. Only hydrogen isotopes can permeate through Pd membrane wall. In the case of tritiated molecules, such as CQ4 (methane) and Q2O (water), those are converted to Q2 and CO2 by catalytic reactions such as SMR(Steam Methane Reforming), WGS(Water Gas Shift) and so on. Then, produced Q2 can be separated by Pd membrane. In other ways for recovery hydrogen isotopes, cryogenic adsorption and oxidation/adsorption technologies are used. Daesung Cryogenic Research Institute has been studying these technologies. |
