We prepared expanded graphite flakes (EGs) by a well-known acid intercalation method, and then K+ ion were decorated on the EGs by immersing in KOH solution with different concentration and immersing time. The amount of K+ ion was measured by HPLC, and it was increased with increasing in the concentration of the solution. For measuring the hydrogen storage behaviors at 298K/100 bar, we used a PCT apparatus by a step-by-step method. From the results, it was found that total hydrogen stored of the EGs was slightly increased after K+ ion decoration at all of K+/EGs samples. It was also found that hydrogen amount stored basically increased with increasing in the content of K+ ion. However, it didn't increase any more after a certain amount of K+ ion. |
