제목 | Improved carbonization yield of cellulose fibers by direct fluorination |
초록 | In this study, we prepared fluorinated cellulose fibers. Cellulose fibers were fluorinated at different temperatures for 10 minutes. These fluorinated cellulose fibers were carbonized in nitrogen atmosphere at 800℃ for 1h. The effect of fluorination of cellulose fiber was analyzed by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). When fluorination temperature increases, fluorine concentration has also increased. But at the high temperature of fluorination(180℃), the fluorine concentration has decreased. From XPS data, F-C-120 has 34.4 at% of fluorine. Compared to pure cellulose fibers, F-C-120's carbonization yield was increased from 16 to 24%. This result attribute that the more fluorine content increases, the higher carbonization yield we get. Keywords: carbonization yield; carbonization; cellulose fiber; fluorination |
