In the present study, glycidyl azide polymer(GAP) used the increase the energy as energetic polymeric binder for composite solid propellants. GAP is hydroxy-terminated aliphatic polyether containing alkyl azide group. Such a GAP react with isocyanate as the curing agent, is used as solid propellant binder. Thus, we studied isotactic glycidyl azide polymer(iso-GAP) which is able to give a crystal property of soft block for i-GAP based thermoplastic elastomer solid propellant binder. Iso-GAPs were synthesised by azidonation of isotactic polyepichlorohydrin which was polymerized with chiral-(S)-epichlorohydrin or its enantiomer, (R)-epichlorohydrin. And thermal behaviors of iso-GAP were investigated using differential scanning calorimeter(DSC). |
