제목 Template Assisted Scaffolding of Electropolymerized Polyaniline by Titanium Oxide Nanotubes for High Energy Density Charge Storage
초록 Vertically aligned polyaniline (PANI) nanotubes have great potential as supercapacitor electrode material. In this work we have investigated facile growth of PANI nanotubes on a titanium oxide nanotube template (TNT) using electrochemical polymerization. The morphology of PANI nanostructures grown over TNT is strongly influenced by the electrochemical sweep rate in the polymerization process. The growth morphology of PANI nanotubes has been carefully analyzed by field emission scanning electron microscopy. PANI nanotube within diameter of around 200nm and very low disparity in the diameter were prepared. We believe that the key parameter to achieve nanotubular structure is the polymer growth rate vs. monomer diffusion flux. Open-ended PANI nanotubes were further tested for electrochemical supercapacitor application which exhibited an impressive specific capacitance of 740 F g−1 measured at charge–discharge rate of 3A g−1 with a mere 13% loss in specific capacitance over 1100 cycles
