Development of thermo-pressure dewaxing methods for the conservation of the beeswax-treated Annals of Joseon Dynasty |
| 초록 |
The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty treated with beeswax have serious damages such as crack and discoloration Therefore, the effect of dewaxing treatment by thermo-pressure method (heat and pressure and suction method) on the physical and chemical properties of dewaxed Hanji were tested. The dewaxed Hanji showed higher strength properties such as tensile strength and zero-span tensile strength than the beeswax-treated Hanji. The condition of "80℃/12MPa/5min×10times" were the optimum dewaxing condition in terms of good safety for thermal aging. |
