제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Diblock Copolymers of Methyl Methacrylate and Butyl Acrylate using Controlled Living Radical Polymerizations
초록 A series of diblock copolymers of poly(methyl methacrylate)-b-poly(butyl acrylate) (PMMA-b-PBA), were synthesized via controlled living radical polymerization (CLRP), e.g. reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT) polymerization and atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP). The chemical structure of diblock copolymers was characterized using NMR, GPC techniques. Their mechanical and thermal properties were investigated via DSC, TEM. The addition of the block segment of poly(butyl acrylate) improved physical and mechanical properties of poly(methyl methacrylate), e.g. impact and wear resistance.
