제목 Adsorption equilibrium isotherms of methane on beer lees-based activated carbon monolith
초록 Natural gas (NG) is being considered as an appropriate alternative fuel because of its huge resource, inexpensive price and low toxic gas emission. In this work, methane adsorption is studied with activated carbon made from beer-lees. The carbonized beer lees samples are chemically activated by adding potassium hydroxide. Activated carbon monolith (ACM) is fabricated with using 5% Polyvinyl pyrrolidone as a binder. Adsorption equilibrium isotherms of methane on the ACM are measured at differenttemperatures ranging from 298 K to 318 K and at pressures ranging from 0 to 30 atm in a volumetric adsorption apparatus. The methane storage capacity obtained in this work is ranged from 55 to 87 V/V at 30 atm.
