The blends of p-type polymers were used as an active layer to fabricate bulk heterojuction (BHJ) organic solar cells. Depending on the miscibility between p-type polymers, the blend systems of p-type polymers with different energy bands cover a broader section of the solar spectrum, and therefore, may tune the optical properties of the device. The change in the blending ratio also affects the photovoltaic performance of BHJ solar cells. The morphology, miscibility and microstructure of the blend systems were carefully investigated and correlated with the photovoltaic performance of the devices. |
