제목 Asymmetric Synthesis of Non-Proteinogenic Amino Acids with L-Amino Acid Transaminase: Synthesis of (2S)-2-Amino-4-oxo-4-phenylbutyric and (3E, 2S)-2-Amino-4-phenylbutenoic acids
초록 (2S)-2-Amino-4-oxo-4-phenylbutyric and its derivatives are inhibitors of kynurenine-3-hydroxylase and have a potential to be useful as neuroprotective agents. Our present methodology involving aminotransferase catalysed stereospecific transfer of amino group from L-aspartic acid to α-keto acids (our substrates) is very simple and provides products with excellent enantiomeric purity(>99%)in high yields (68-78%).
