Precision medicine is an emerging technology to consider individual variability in environment, lifestyle and genes for each person in disease diagnosis and treatment. Based on the precision medicine, it can be analyzed for gene variants that a patient may have acquired throughout his/her life logs. To overcome the resistance for anti-cancer drug, we developed an algorithm to predict the resistance for anti-cancer drug by an individual patient with specific gene variants. In addition, we developed a validation system of anti-cancer drugs using patient-derived organoids. Predicion algorithms was built using machine-leaning technology to classify the sensitive drugs according to the pattern of gene variants. To develop this algorithm, gene variants for 480 colon cancer patients was used, accompanied by the clinical information of each patient. This algorithm will deliver therapeutic strategy as well as precise diagnosis to support patients and medical staffs as a powerful resource. |
