제목 Selective Catalytic Reduction of NO with H2 over Pt·Co/Alumina Catalysts
초록 In recent years, the emission of various nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere has been occurring on a massive scale. NOx results in serious air pollution such as photochemical smog, acid rain, then possesses serious damages to human health and environmental safety. Therefore, removal of these contaminants is necessary. The SCR of NOx with the use of ammonia was first introduced in the early 1970s, and since then it has become a widely practiced NOx control technology in many industrial combustion facilities. However, many problems are encountered in the use of NH3–SCR technology, namely ammonia slip, secondary pollution, and a high running cost. Meanwhile, the hydrogen which has a strong reducing ability improves the reduction efficiency of nitrogen oxide in the low temperature, and does not cause air pollution. The hydrogen SCR have been studied actively in recent years. In this study, the H2 gas was used as the reductant. The characteristics of alumina-supported platinum and cobalt catalysts prepared by co-impregnation method were studied using XPS, XRD and TPR.
