제목 Synthesis and Photophysical Properties of a Novel Diblock Copolymer Comprising of Poly(3-hexylthiophene) Block and Zinc Phthalocyanine-Containing Block
초록 Many studies have focused on the development of low-cost high performance organic solar cells using conjugated polymers as electron donors. Among them, regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) is the most widely used hole transporting polymer because of its excellent light absorption, formation of thin film with crystalline morphology and good charge mobility. However, the performance of polymer solar cells based on P3HT is restricted by its relatively narrow absorption wavelength (400 ~650 nm). To harvest sunlight from longer wavelengths, we synthesized a novel diblock copolymer (P3HT-b-ZnPc) composed of P3HT block and zinc phthalocyanine-containing block, because the zinc phthalocyanine moiety is expected to absorb longer wavelength of sunlight. The film of P3HT-b-ZnPc, coated on glass without thermal evaporation process, exhibited very broad absorption spectrum (300~800 nm) because the absorption bands of ZnPc and P3HT perfectly complement each other.
