With the purposes to improve the physico-chemical performance of chitosan-gelatin films on the cell strategies and surface properties, the excellent biodegradable synthetic materials with various ratios of chitosan, gelatin and calcium phosphate were prepared. Based on the results of this study, contact angle measured after coating calcium phosphate on chitosan/gelatin film decreased indicating that the wettability of the film was increased. In addition, fibroblast (NIH3T3) attachment and growth on the films were significantly enhanced on the composite films. Modification of chitosan, gelatin and calcium phosphate films resulted in a substantial increase in fibroblast viability. Further studies describing the new synthesized biodegradable materials possessed good flexibility for cellular attachment, spreading, and proliferation, which may promise broad prospects in biomedical fields such as promote wound healing and antibacterial activity |
