Effects of CNT localization and migration on electrical conductivity of mPPE/PA66/CNT composite |

CNT is widely used in many applications such as automotive, aerospace and electronics due to its excellent mechanical property, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. In this study, the electrical conductivity of mPPE/PA66/CNT composites was determined by the mixing procedure of the composites. The surface resistivity showed lower value when PA66 was mixed after mixing mPPE and CNT. It can be explained by the migration of CNT from mPPE phase to PA66 phase and the enhancement of CNT dispersion during the migration due to the difference in affinity between PA66-CNT and mPPE-CNT. |
