Flexible Nanogenerators for Energy Harvesting based on Perovskite Piezoelectric Nanostructures directly grown on graphene oxide |

Nanogenerators (NGs) that harvest energy from mechanical vibration are an attractive area of energy environment fields. Recent, many recent researches have focused on flexible NG with the direct growth of a piezoelectrics on flexible materials such as a paper, a virus, a fiber, and a carbon nanotube. We report a successful growth of BaTiO3 (BTO) nanoparticles (NPs) interconnected with graphene oxide (BTONPs-GO) through hydrothermal method. This method allows the nucleation of BTO crystals on the GO and simultaneously the growth of BTO crystals. The BTONPs-GO with perovskite phase was well formed by hydrothermal method which was confirmed by XPS, XRD, and TEM analysis. The piezoelectricity of BTONP-GO was measured by piezoresponse force microscopy, and the in-plane domain switching was observed at 1V ac voltage. We found that the NG measurements by using a BTONPs-GO exhibit a polarity property, output signals of 7.2 V, and power density of 1.25μW/cm2 at road resistance of 800 MΩ by periodic bending movements. We will discuss the relationship between power generation and domain dynamics of BTONPs-GO. |
