Here, we demonstrate a direct film transfer method of tungsten doped vanadium dioxide thin-films to fabricate flexible thermochromic polymeric films. First, vanadium oxide (VOx) nanocrystals are synthesized via solvothermal reaction and deposited onto the substrates. And then, VOx thin-films are transformed into thermochromic VO2 via rapid thermal annealing. As-prepared VO2 thin-films are transferred onto Pressure sensitive adhesive via direct transfer method. The monoclinic-phase VO2 thin-films are characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements. Also, their phase transition temperature and switching characteristics are measured to investigate near-IR modulating ability. |
