제목 | The Status of SOFC development at Korea Electric Power Research Institute (KEPRI/KEPCO) |
초록 | A 5 kW-class SOFC system is being developed in KEPRI from 2006 to this year. SOFC stack, M-BOP and E-BOP are being developed in this project. We especially play a role in developing 5 kW-class stack. 5kW-class stack is composed of two 2.5 kW-class sub-stacks. This project is targeted for 35% electrical efficiency and 75% efficiency including heat efficiency. Diesel and natural gas can be used as fuel in this system, and therefore reformers for diesel and natural gas are also being developed. As many of you know, R&D’s about metal-supported SOFC are being vigorously performed due to its resistance to thermal and mechanical stress, in addition to relatively efficient sealing process such as brazing or welding. Using cheap and simple joining process, metal-supported SOFC can be fabricated in our work. The maximum power density of 0.7 Wcm-2 is indicated and the long-term performance of 800 hours is achieved at 800oC. The single cell performance even after six-times thermal cycle is sustained almost constantly. 10X10 cm2 sized metal-supported cell have already been developed and the enlargement in cell area is being studied. In KEPRI, Also SOEC(Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell) system is being developed. The short stack composed of five 10X10 cm2 sized cell is operated for 3,000 hours at 750oC. The stack efficiency of 75.2% (HHV) for H2 production is reached at the current density of 0.3 Acm-2. The hydrogen of 50 liters h-1 can be produced in this SOEC system. |
