Ruthenium is useful a metal catalyst for Ring-Closing Metathesis (RCM), Ring-Closing Metathesis (ROM) and Cross Metathesis (CM). However, high cost and possible contamination of ruthenium in the final product restrict its applications. To solve these problems, we prepared reusable ruthenium catalyst through immobilization. Ruthenium was immobilized onto ionic liquid phase on the surface of polymer bead.In order to characterize this polymer supported catalyst, FT-IR spectroscopy, ICP-AES and FE-SEManalysis were performed. The polymer supported ruthenium ionic liquid complex was applied to RCM reaction. |
